Course Description
Infiltrative Cardiomyopathy Symposium– Infiltrative cardiomyopathies, including cardiac amyloidosis and cardiac sarcoidosis, are complex and often underdiagnosed conditions that require early recognition, specialized evaluation, and coordinated, multidisciplinary care. This educational course is designed to address key knowledge gaps among clinicians by providing up-to-date information on diagnostic strategies, pharmacologic therapies, and advanced treatment options, including ICD and pacemaker implantation, LVAD therapy, and heart transplantation. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of how to identify and manage these conditions using a patient-centered and team-based approach.
Through expert-led lectures, real-world case discussions, interactive Q&A sessions, and a keynote address from a recognized leader in the field, this course will offer practical, clinically relevant tools to enhance decision-making and improve outcomes. Attendees will leave better equipped to recognize the signs of infiltrative heart disease, utilize advanced imaging and referral pathways, and implement comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with subspecialists across cardiology, electrophysiology, imaging, and heart failure care.
Target Audience
- Cardiology healthcare professionals and fellows involved in heart failure management
- Nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and allied health professionals
- Specialists in electrophysiology, interventional, imaging, and advanced heart failure cardiology
- Specialists in pulmonary, rheumatology, neurology, radiology, pathology.
- Primary care providers and general cardiologists
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, learners will be able to:
- Recognize unique conditions in patients with heart disease, including cardiac amyloidosis and cardiac sarcoidosis.
- Identify the appropriate timing for specialized diagnostics and referral to specialists.
- Describe the evaluation process for suspected infiltrative cardiomyopathy.
- Explore the most current treatment modalities for infiltrative cardiomyopathies, including pharmacologic options, advanced heart failure therapies, and interventional therapies.

Exhibitors
Infiltrative Cardiomyopathy Symposium is a one-day program designed to provide a venue for attendees to review infiltrative heart diseases, such as cardiac amyloidosis and cardiac sarcoidosis, pose unique diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. Due to their rarity and complexity, healthcare providers may lack familiarity with optimal strategies for early recognition, specialized evaluation, and multidisciplinary care. These conditions require timely referral and coordinated treatment approaches, including advanced pharmacologic therapies, multi-organ management, cardiac surgical interventions like LVAD implantation and heart transplantation, as well as appropriate use of implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) and pacemakers.
